The final game of the opening road swing ended with the Whitecaps looking some home cooking. South Lyon took advantage of early game aggressiveness and hit paydirt with the first shot of the game. South Lyon would eventually open a 3-0 margin before the ‘Caps would settle and show their mettle.
The second period would see White Line Forwards O’Rear, Nelson and Rockwell stop the defensive bleeding by stabilizing the forecheck and curb the South Lyon momentum.
Fast forward to the third period and Alex Green would open and close the Whitecaps scoring with two goals. A final attempt to tie with game with Josephson out of his net for the extra attacker but fell short.
